The holiday season for work at home individual is quite different. Christmas is something odd to me this year. I still need to log on for work though its Christmas day. We don't received cash bonus or 13th month pay. This is a big difference when you are working as a freelancer/contractor. We make money by the service that we deliver and the amount of work that we finished. Instead of grasping the holiday mood we still need to be motivated to be with our computer.
Each day has become an ordinary day for us. We only get to chat with our virtual office mates through online. Socialization has become virtual for us. All we think of is work, work , work for the money. I, myself set up a quota for my daily earnings so I would know how much will be my paycheck by the 15th and 30th of the month.
I am enjoying because my husband and daughter are always on my side. I don't have to worry about them. The best thing that I can do by year 2010 is to start saving for my future. With this kind of work. I don't have a lump sum retirement that I can get from my employer. I am my own employer. So Happy Holidays everyone.
