Globe is giving us a mighty headache as online freelance worker because of internet connection issues. It has been days now that I still haven't got a word from them that the connection is up. Imagine I have to call my client overseas just to inform the connectivity issue and that I may not be able to work in a couple of days.
Since I am such a dedicated worker I got myself a wireless Sun unlimited broadband kit for 800 kit + 800 advance 1 month payment, which has a speed of up to 3Kbps compared to my cabled subscription with Globe which is up to 1Kbps. As of now I am happy with Sun broadband's service. I just hope that nothing goes wrong with it as it will again cost me money and a mighty headache. The problem that I have encountered so far is the download time that it took when downloading huge audio file. It's a bit disgusting but at least I still have the internet going.
The worst case scenario with Globe is their customer service is in Manila and because of too many issues that they encounter everyday you need to wait for a couple of minutes before being attended to. The answer you will get is Sorry Ma'am but it says here that there is a problem in your area. It is under repair and we can't assure you when it will be fixed. Just leave me you contact number and will inform you right away of any progress. It has been a good 4 days since I called and until this moment I haven't heard back from them.
It really sucks!!!
